PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Jay, a very energetic 14-year-old, loves playing sports including tennis, football, and (his favorite) basketball.
“Because in basketball, you can put a lot of effort into it and you’re working as a team,” Jay says. “And you never can put yourself first, because there’s no ‘I’ in team.”
He loves camping, a passion he wants to share with a permanent family.
“I would like people who like a good adventure,” he says. “Any kind of adventure, like going in the woods, something like that, or going to find treasure. Something like that just to get the kids’ heart pumping — like something really cool.”
And, his social worker, Crystal Allen, says Jay wins people over with his million-dollar smile:
“Jay is very caring and compassionate. He’s a fun child to be around. He knows how to draw people in with his smile and his charisma.”
For more information about adopting Jay or any other child, go to the National Adoption Center’s web site, www.adopt.org, or call 215-735-9988.
