PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in an attempted abduction of a 10-year-old girl Tuesday afternoon.

During a news conference Wednesday, Philadelphia Police released surveillance video of the attack, which happened on the 3400 block of Lee Street. In the video, you see the little girl kick and fight off her attacker before he runs away.

“This is a sick individual, to do something like that,” said Mayor Michael Nutter. “I want this creep of our streets immediately.”

The girl’s father, whose name we are not revealing in order to protect the identity of his daughter, spoke exclusively with Eyewitness News.

He said that his daughter was walking with her two-year-old brother from her mother’s house on nearby Roseberry Street when the man approached her, put his hand over her mouth, picked her up and attempted to take her.

“When I saw the video, I mean you go from wanting to cry to wanting to hurt the person doing this to your child,” the girl’s father said. “Never in my life have I been so enraged and mad and probably hurt and upset.”

The girl’s dad said after a 30-second struggle, the suspect gave up and fled.

He gets back into his white sedan and can be seen driving down Porter Street.

“I’ve never seen video like this. This is completely insane,” said Mayor Michael Nutter.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man about 6’2”. He has a mustache and a thin build.

He was last seen driving a white four-door sedan, believed to be a late 1990’s or early 2000’s white Mitsubishi or Nissan. The vehicle has a black scuff mark on the driver’s side rear bumper and a dent on the left front fender wheel well.
