PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect who posed as a postman in order to rob a Bustleton woman at gunpoint on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m. in the 1800 block of Nester Place in Bustleton. A female resident answered a knock on her door to find a man in a full postal uniform and a tan safari hat outside her door. The man told her he had a package, then forced his way inside the house with a gun and demanded the female tell him where her jewelry and cash were.
The suspect made off with $2,300 and jewelry.
The suspect is described as a clean-shaven Hispanic male between 25 and 30 years old. He is between 5’5” and 5’7” tall with a medium build.
The female resident was not injured.
