Police Search For 2 Suspects In South Philadelphia Robbery

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for two suspects who allegedly robbed a female in South Philadelphia.

Authorities say a 22-year-old female was robbed outside of the Dunkin Donuts at 330 Oregon Avenue on July 6th at about 4:25 p.m.

The female was reportedly approached by the first suspect after cashing a check at a check-cashing store at 5th Street and Oregon Avenue. He asked her for directions to a Baptist church, then followed her to the Dunkin Donuts.

After the victim left the Dunkin Donuts, the second suspect came up behind her and the first placed a handgun in her back and demanded money.

The victim gave the suspects $100 in cash, and both suspects fled on foot toward Oregon Avenue.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his 50's with a light brown complexion, who is about 6'1" and weighs about 150 lbs. He is bald and was wearing a blue baseball cap, a blue jean jacket, a white t-shirt, and brown boots.

The second suspect has been described as a black male, about 40 years old, with a light complexion. He is around 5'3" and weighs about 180 lbs. He also has close cropped hair and was wearing a tan shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
