Gloucester Township Police Investigating Potential Child Luring

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – Gloucester Township police are investigating a possible attempted luring that happened in the Mayfair Wood Development in Sicklerville.

The incident occurred on Thursday, July 12, when a red van with dark windows driven by an older white male with thinning black and gray hair and wearing a red shirt pulled up to a residence inside the development and asked a nine-year-old girl and a six-year-old girl to approach the van.

Both girls, who were on the front porch, went inside and told a parent, who then contacted police.

Shortly thereafter, the same van pulled up to a female who was pushing a stroller and tried to engage her in conversation. It then pulled away and was last seen on Honeysuckle Road heading toward Johnson Road.

The Gloucester Township Police Department is asking anyone with information on the vehicle or person to contact them at 856-842-5560 or the Gloucester Township Police Dispatch at 856-228-4500 or email them at police@gtpolice.com.
