MT. LAUREL, NJ (CBS) – Twelve people were arrested in South Jersey after police conducted a prostitution sting in Mt. Laurel hotels and motels.

The sting was performed on July 11 in conjunction with officers from the Westampton and Cherry Hill police departments.

Mount Laurel is home to 26 hotels and motels, and in 2011, police arrested 49 people for various offenses within the district.

Those arrested in Wednesday’s prostitution sting are:

William G. Wilson, age 50, of Delran, NJ Loitering for the Purpose of Engaging in Prostitution
John P. Peralta, age 30, of Voorhees, NJ Engaging in Prostitution
Saurabh Sarin, age 35, of Voorhees, NJ Engaging in Prostitution
John W. Henrie, age 39, of Mount Laurel, NJ Engaging in Prostitution
Warren S. Jones Jr., age 57, of Pitman, NJ Engaging in Prostitution
Kaushal R. Prajapati, age 36, of Cherry Hill, NJ Engaging in Prostitution
Edward K. Whiteley, age 57, of Pennsauken, NJ Engaging in Prostitution
Nicholas C. Colangelo, age 25, of Delran, NJ Engaging in Prostitution

All of the suspects were released pending court hearings.
