PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Botox still gets a great deal of attention because of the fact that it can be used to help people get rid of wrinkles. What many don’t know is that the toxin actually makes the muscles unable to its job. So when it comes time to make a wrinkle, it doesn’t happen.

But researchers are looking at many other ways to use Botox. One of the most effective treatments is for people with neck spasm. Now researchers are using Botox to help fight tremors caused by multiple sclerosis.

Botox may have gained fame for cosmetic reasons but some of the other uses may have a far greater impact.
