MILFORD, Del. (CBS) – A Delaware woman lost control of her car on Friday morning and crashed through the front entrance of a bank.
Around 11:23 a.m. on Friday, Milford police responded to the PNC Bank on North DuPont Boulevard after receiving information that a vehicle had collided with the building.
Upon arrival, police discovered that the 2006 Nissan Maxima had crashed through the front entrance before coming to rest inside the bank.
The driver, Patricia Venett, 69, of Milford, admitted that she had mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake while parking.
No injuries were reported, and neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected in the crash.
Venett was cited for careless driving.
