University Of Delaware Police Investigate Report Of Indecent Exposure

NEWARK, Del. (CBS) - University of Delaware Police are investigating a case of indecent exposure that happened on Thursday on the university's south campus in Newark.

Police say three women, who were walking in the area of Townsend and Worrilow halls at about 10 p.m., reported seeing a naked man in the wooded area on the west side of Worrilow Hall, near the bus stop on South College Avenue.

The man began smacking his buttocks and then ran from the area.

He is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall, with an average build and brown hair. The women did not see his face.
UD Police officers responded to the scene and, with assistance from New Castle County Police, conducted a K9 track. The track ended in the parking lot behind Towsend Hall.

According to police, the incident appears to be related to six similar incidents in the area since May 2011.

Anyone who sees anything suspicious in the area should contact UD Police immediately at 302-831-2222.
