PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating a drowning in a pool in Northeast Philadelphia late Thursday evening.

The incident happened in the 2800 block of Winchester Avenue in the city’s Holme Circle section.

Police say the homeowner called 911, and when officers arrived, they found an unidentified 45-year-old man dead at the bottom of the pool.

According to investigators, alcohol may be a factor in the deadly incident.

Detectives have not ruled out foul play, but they’re not actively looking for any suspects.

The medical examiner is currently investigating the cause of death.
