Police Searching For Northwest Philadelphia Robbery Suspect

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect who attempted to rob a McDonald's restaurant in the Northwest section of the city.

Authorities say that the armed suspect entered the restaurant, located at 2101 West Lehigh Avenue, on June 23rd at about 6:37 a.m. and demanded money from the counter employee.

The employee backed away from the counter and began yelling, and the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect has been described as a black male between 19-22 with a light complexion and thin build. He is said to be about 6' to 6'2", weighs 140-155 lbs and was wearing a dark zip-up hooded sweatshirt, light colored jeans, and white and black sneakers. He also has tattoos on his face and appears to have another tattoo on the back of his right hand.
