SEA ISLE CITY, N. J. (CBS) – Mayor Leonard Desiderio presented actress Maria Bello with a Key to Sea Isle City at City Hall Tuesday morning.

Maria Bello, a Norristown, Pennsylvania native and Sea Isle City summer resident, was awarded with a Key to Sea Isle City for the community service she has done with women in Haiti.

Bello, who has starred in Coyote Ugly, Payback, The Secret Window, The Mummy/Dragon Emperor, and other movies, is the co-founder of We Advance, a grassroots women’s rights movement that was created to advance the health, safety and well being of women in Haiti.
