PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Occupy protesters are settling in Philadelphia for one big gathering along Independence Mall.

The Occupy Movement from around the country is meeting in Philadelphia for the movement’s first national gathering.

“We’ve got five days of peace, love and democracy here in the City of Brotherly Love.”

Nate Kleinman in Old City is an organizer with Occupy Philly and the National Gathering Work Group.

“We plan to have a presence at 5th and Market for the entire time; it’s not certain where all of the activities are going to take place but we have already made plans for workshops and teach-ins to happen in some of the other parks in the area.”

Kleinman says they have interesting speakers scheduled as well.

“Matt Taibbi, the journalist from Rolling Stone, Chris Hedges another journalist; Michael Moore is also coming from what I’ve heard. There’s still more people who are signing up to come every day and it’s going to be a really amazing event.”

The Occupy Gathering runs through the 4th of July.
