Fatal Accident In Lehigh County Under Investigation

GERMANTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Police in eastern Pennsylvania say a collision between a car and a tow truck has killed five people and injured a sixth.

State police Cpl. Mark Rowlands says the deaths happened Thursday on a rural road in Heidelberg Township.

Images from the scene show the tow truck was hauling a box truck when the accident occurred around 2:30 p.m.

Rowlands says the car ran a stop sign and was hit by the tow truck. All four occupants of the car died, as did the truck's driver.

Rowlands says the tow truck's passenger was taken to a hospital.

He says police are not yet releasing the victims' names.
