PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Eleven-year-old Skylar loves singing hip-hop and soul like her idol, Adele.

(Skylar, singing:)  “And he could change the world…”

She takes lessons and sings in her school group.

She’d love to share her talents with a permanent family.

“I would give back love and affection,” she adds.

Gloria Hochman of the National Adoption Center, based in Philadelphia, says Skylar — wise beyond her years — has one wish:

“What she says is — and she tells her social worker this every day — ‘I just want to find a family who will love me.’ Maybe you can be that family.”

For more information about adopting Skylar or any other child, go to the National Adoption Center’s  web site, www.adopt.org, or call 215-735-9988.
