COATESVILLE, Pa. (CBS) – A firefighter and a resident were injured in a house in Chester County early Friday morning.
The fire started at about 6 a.m. inside a home in the 300 block of S. Charles Street in Coatesville.
According to investigators, the two-alarm fire was placed under control in about 30 minutes, but not before it severely damaged the three-story home.
Authorities say a firefighter and a resident were treated at the scene by medics for heat exposure.
The American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania (SEPA) Chapter is currently assisting a family of three impacted by the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
