PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – After Lebron James won his first NBA championship on Thursday night in Miami, many asked the question of where his place is among the all-time greats. According to 94WIP’s Ike Reese, he’s not in the top 12.
Reese’s list is as follows:
12. Elgin Baylor
11. Jerry West
10. Hakeem Olajuwon
9. Tim Duncan
8. Shaquille O’Neal
7. Larry Bird
6. Magic Johnson
5. Kobe Bryant
4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
3. Bill Russell
2. Wilt Chamberlain
1. Michael Jordan
Reese did tweet some comforting words to fans of Lebron James later, saying “Don’t worry LeBron fans, he should end up being one of the 5 best ever. He’s still writing his legacy. This list is for right now.”
I would note that Ike is a Kobe Bryant apologist, but I don’t know if that’s appropriate for this article.
Do you put James in the top 12? Let us know in the comments.
