NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – A teacher was arrested after allegedly hitting a student in the head in her classroom.
Danielle Finlay, 31, of Newark, Delaware was arrested for allegedly hitting a male student in the head with an empty water bottle twice.
Authorities report that an investigation of the incident began March 7th after administrators from the Delaware Autistic Program, located on the 100 block of Brennan Drive, contacted the Delaware State Police Youth Aid Unit.
Reportedly, a witness informed officials that Finlay hit the 17-year-old on the head two times for making loud noises.
Finlay turned herself in on Thursday morning and was charged with two counts of offensive touching. She was arraigned and released.
