PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It is the middle of June. You have no excuses. I am talking about excuses not to exercise.

You can’t use bad weather as an excuse. You certainly can’t complain that it gets dark too early in the evening. Graduation season is over and for many people there will be an opportunity to go away on a vacation or have some time for a staycation.

I am sure I am not catching everyone with my argument. Some have more difficult summer schedules or have pressures at home that seem to be present summer or winter, but my point is if you are making excuses to avoid starting an exercise program, now is the time to get moving.

My biggest tip is to start slowly. Do not bite off more than you can chew. You will be much more successful if you set realistic goals.
