Police: Congressman Brady Targeted In Second, Possibly Unrelated Incident

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A man suspected of throwing a bottle and shattering the glass of a window at Congressman Bob Brady's office building in South Philadelphia Friday afternoon has been arrested. The arrest comes hours after three unidentified men tried to break in to the congressman's home in Overbrook Farms (see related story).

At about 4 p.m., employees were inside Rep. Brady's office in the 1900 block of South Broad Street when they heard a cracking sound. They soon discovered a bottle was thrown through a window in the front of the office. Fortunately, no one was injured.

A male employee reportedly followed the man to Moore Street and Passyunk Avenue where police made the arrest.

Police do not believe the act of vandalism is connected to the attempted break-in earlier Friday.

Authorities continue to investigate both incidents.
