PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Authorities are investigating a police-involved shooting that left a man dead in Philadelphia’s Fairhill neighborhood Wednesday night.
It happened at about 7:30 p.m. near East Ontario and E streets. Police say they were called to the scene after receiving a report the suspect had threatened three people with a gun.
Authorities say when the officers arrived, the suspect shot at them from his vehicle. The officers returned fire, striking the suspect and killing the suspect.
The officers were not injured during the shootout.
The investigation continues.
