PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Four people were taken to the hospital after being injured in a multi-vehicle crash in North Philadelphia late Tuesday night.
The accident happened shortly after 11 p.m. on Broad Street near Rising Sun Avenue.
According to investigators, four cars collided in what is being labeled as a chain reaction crash. One of the cars was sent careening into a fire hydrant, which was knocked over.
A total of four people were taken to various hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
