Police Investigating May Subway Sex Assault

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating a sexual assault that took place near the Lehigh Avenue subway concourse on May 26, 2012.

The victim was riding the SEPTA Broad Street line to Lehigh Avenue around 9 p.m. When she exited the Lehigh Avenue concourse, she noticed a man following her. The suspect then approached her, placed a knife against her stomach, and forced her into a parking lot on 15th Street, where he sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 50 years of age, with dark brown eyes and thick eyebrows. He's approximately 5'7" and bald and was wearing black cargo pants, a blue apron, a red shirt with stripes around the collar and at the bottom of the sleeves, black boots and a black and tan jacket.
