28-Year-Old Man Shot, Killed In Cobbs Creek
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A 28-year-old man was shot in the city's Cobbs Creek neighborhood Saturday night.
The shooting happened a little before 8 p.m. near Cedar Avenue and 63rd Street.
The unidentified man, who was shot once in the leg, the neck and the buttocks, police say, was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities have one person in custody and have recovered a weapon.
Police are searching for a second man they say is wanted in connection to the murder. He was was seen fleeing the scene on a dirt bike. Police chased the man toward Interstate 95 northbound but then called off the pursuit.
There is no word on a motive on this shooting. An investigation is underway.
