Police Investigating Homicide In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating a homicide in North Philadelphia that happened Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3:56 p.m., police were notified about a shooting on the highway at 600 West Russell Street in North Philadelphia. A male victim was shot once in the chest and once in the arm and was transported to Temple University Hospital by private vehicle.

The victim was pronounced dead around 8:45 p.m. as a result of his injuries.

No arrests have been made, but the suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. He fled the scene in a black car and was last seen heading northbound on Marshall Street.
