PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A local hotel is auctioning off a dream wedding package, with all proceeds benefitting Alex’s Lemonade Stand, and the bidding starts soon.

Christopher Laufer (in photo), director of sales for the Omni Hotel at Independence Park, says the hotel has given away a full wedding package for the past four years “which includes about ten local vendors that have participated in weddings here at the hotel and they are donating their services. So, here at the Omni, we’re donating a complete ceremony and reception, valued at over $35,000. It will include everything from a surf-and-turf dinner to a wedding cake.”

Also included: photography, flowers, centerpieces, DJ, lighting, make-up and hair for the bride and bridesmaids, tuxes, wedding night stay at the Omni and a honeymoon, with airfare to the Omni in Cancun.

“Alex was all about the special events and the dresses,” says Alex’s mother, Liz. “So, I think a wedding for Alex that really is supporting her mission is pretty amazing.”

The auction will be held on eBay from June 9th to the 15th. They are hoping to raise $50,000.
