PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police were investigating the death of a young woman whose body was discovered near a wooded area in Germantown on Sunday evening.

Police were called to 5100 block of Rufe Street just before 7:oo p.m. where they found the body of a black female wrapped in a white sheet along a curb.

Authorities do not know the young woman’s identity, but believe she was in her late teens or early 20s.

The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death were unclear.

It did appear that the victim was dumped at that location.

Homicide detectives were investigating.
