Stargazing goes high tech with this educational app that makes astronomy accessible to pretty much anyone. Simply hold your iDevice to the sky and The Night Sky will identify the stars, planets and constellations for you. It will also tell you which of those lights in the sky is actually a satellite.

Best of all, while it has a ton of information, it’s never overwhelming – for kids or adults.
