UPPER MERION, Pa. (CBS) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Montgomery County late Monday night.
The incident happened at about 10:20 p.m. in the 200 block of W. Dekalb Pike near Town Center Road in Upper Merion Township.
According to investigators, a 22-year-old woman identified by police as Amber Marcinowski of Collingdale, Pa., was attempting to cross W. Dekalb Pike when she was struck by a car travelling southbound. Marcinowski was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the driver did stop at the scene to render assistance and called 911.
No charges have been filed. The deadly accident remains under police investigation.
