DEPTFORD TWP, NJ (CBS) – Police say a New Jersey man died Friday after being stabbed by his own uncle.

Authorities say Elijah P. Gatewood-Gabriel, a 20-year-old man from Deptford, died after his uncle, Chad Gatewood, stabbed him multiple times during a family argument in the Inverness Apartments on Route 47. The victim was transported to Underwood-Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries around 12:54 a.m.

Chad Gatewood was treated for a cut to the hand at Kennedy Memorial Hospital. He is now charged with murder and weapons offenses and is being held at Gloucester County Jail in Woodbury on $300,000 bail.
