PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Phillies manager Charlie Manuel has been suspended for one game by Major League Baseball. The release from MLB states the following:

Philadelphia Phillies manager Charlie Manuel has received a one-game suspension stemming from the on-field incident in the top of the eighth inning of Philadelphia’s Tuesday, May 15^th game against the Houston Astros at Citizens Bank Park. Joe Garagiola, Jr., Senior Vice President of Standards & On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement.

Manuel’s suspension is to be served tonight, when the Phillies are to host the Boston Red Sox.
