Man Struck By Amtrak Train In Philadelphia's Juniata Neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A 55-year-old man was struck and killed by an Amtrak train Monday afternoon in the city's Juniata neighborhood.

The accident happened at about 3 p.m. near Wheatsheaf Lane and Frankford Avenue. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the accident were not immediately available.

According to SEPTA, normal service of the Trenton Line has resumed after trains traveling to Center City bypassed the Tacony and Bridesburg stations earlier this afternoon due to police investigation. Passengers may experience residual delays.
