1 Dead, 2 Injured In 3-Car Accident In East Falls

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - One person is dead and two others are injured after a three-car accident in East Falls on Monday night.

The accident happened at about 8 p.m. on Lincoln Drive near West Rittenhouse Street.

Authorities say all the victims were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center. The driver of one car, a 25-year-old woman, had to be extricated from her vehicle. She later died from her injuries at the hospital, according to police.

In the second vehicle was a 64-year-old man who suffered from a head injury and a 50-year-old woman who suffered injuries to her leg, arm and chest. Both are in stable condition at this time, police say.

There were no reported injuries in the third vehicle.

Lincoln Drive is closed between Gypsy Lane and West Rittenhouse Street due to police investigation.
