New Voter Identification Education Guide Comes Out In Time For November Election

By Cherri Gregg

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Philadelphia Delegation of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives created a Voter Identification Education Guide.

The new guide is comprehensive, containing detailed information on the new Voter ID law, and compiles instructions and forms from a variety of sources, says Delegation Chair Cherelle Parker.

"If you need your birth certificate, your social security card, your passport, if you're trying to get your immigration papers, not only are instructions contained in the book, but the actual forms are also there."

The VIEG answers questions like how much it costs and how long it'll will take to get essential documentation and what to do if you're homeless. Parker says she's hoping voters get the guide and act now.

"Let's get it done before we get involved in summer vacations so that when the fall comes, we're already prepared."

Parker says the copies of the guide are available at local State Representatives office and online. To download the guide, go to www.pahouse.com/Parker.
