Two South Jersey Men Arrested For Burglary

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – Two South Jersey men were arrested for attempted robbery at an Egg Harbor Township residence.

On Thursday, May 10th at approximately 2:42 p.m., Egg Harbor police responded to a residence on School House Road in the Scullville section of the township for reports of a burglary in progress.

Police were able to arrest the suspects as they left a wooded area near the residence.

Twenty-one-year-old Francisco Ortiz and 18-year-old Jesse Carter, both from Galloway Township, were arrested and charged. Ortiz was charged with attempted burglary and Carter with conspiracy.

Police also say that they are investigating a series of home burglaries on or near Schoolhouse Lane over the past six months. They suspect that Ortiz and Carter were driven to the area by an unknown third suspect.
