Two Delaware High Schools Receive Bomb Threats, Students Dismissed

CAMDEN AND WOODSIDE, Del. (CBS) – Delaware State Police are currently investigating bomb threats at two area high schools.

The first threat came in to Camden's Caesar Rodney High School around 7:19 a.m. on Friday when an anonymous person sent an email to the school's website alleging that there were explosives inside and outside of the building. School officials were alerted shortly thereafter.

Students were evacuated from the school and dismissed for the day. Police K9s were sent in to search the building, and it was cleared at 12:40 p.m. after nothing unusual was found.

The second incident happened at Polytech High School in Woodside around 11:55 a.m., when a bomb threat was phoned into the school office. Polytech has been evacuated while officials and police K9s investigate.

No further information is available at this time.
