Police: Home Invasion Suspect Barricades Himself Inside Frankford Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police have arrested a man they say barricaded himself inside his Frankford home after invading a Kensington home early Friday afternoon.

Police were sent to a home in the 2000 block of Orthodox Street after receiving reports about a home invasion earlier in the day in the 3000 block of Emerald Street in Kensington.

Authorities say, four black males broke into the Emerald Street home and stole four televisions from two 21-year-old females and fled the area. One of the victim's was able to provide an address belonging to one of the suspects to police.

When police arrived at the Orthodox Street home, they saw a black male come out of the home, then run back inside upon seeing officers. Authorities had the area near Orthodox and Ditman streets surrounded for nearly two hours before finally apprehending the suspect.

A second suspect in the home invasion was arrested hours later. Two more suspects remain at large.
