PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – This Sunday, many moms will be getting homemade projects from their kids.
Why is Mother’s Day important?
“Because our mothers do a lot of hard work for us!”
Some elementary school kids are planning to celebrate Mother’s Day by giving mom a project they made in school.
“We’re making small little flower pots and then we’re going to decorate them with acrylic paints.”
“And we’re going to put soil in it and then a seed.”
This class is decorating mugs for their moms.
“And you can draw your own thing like “#1 mom” or something.”
The kids at Meredith Elementary School say they’re eager to recognize their moms this Sunday.
“Because what have they done for you? They’ve always been there for you whenever you’ve gotten hurt, they’ve given you whatever you need and I just have to say my mom has given me all of the great things. Mom, thanks. Happy Mother’s Day!”
