PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A home loss behind them and a tough trip to play the Seattle Sounders is what the Philadelphia Union is dealing with right now.

Sounders’ coach Sigi Schmid is the guest on this week’s KYW Philly Soccer Show.

In part one, KYW’s Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch talk with Schmid, one of the top coaches in Major League Soccer. Seattle is in third place in the very deep and competitive Western Conference.

In part two, analysis after the Union dropped a tough game at home against the west-leading San Jose Earthquakes. A last-minute goal by Steven Lenhart of the Quakes broke a 1-1 tie, sending the Union to defeat at home for the second time this year.
Gabriel Gomez scored for Philadelphia, giving him a team-leading three on the year.
While the Union’s defense played well for the most of the game, the team was unable to generate much offense. Philadelphia beat Seattle last year, 2-0, with goals from Freddy Adu and Brian Carroll.
