Firefighters Battle Two Blazes In Camden Saturday Morning

By John McDevitt

CAMDEN, NJ (CBS) - Fire officials in Camden are investigating the cause of a three-alarm fire early Saturday involving two vacant properties.

Firefighters arrived at a two-story vacant structure on fire in the 600 block of Kaighns Avenue around 10:20 a.m.

Camden Deputy Fire Chief Michael DiPascale says there was a second fire in a warehouse behind the two-story building.

"Even with the debris in the rear of the lot there was no communication from one building to another so that leads up to indicate that there were two separate fires."

It took firefighters 90 minutes to put the blaze under control. No one was hurt.
