PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – There are two antiques shows going on in Philadelphia this weekend. The Philadelphia Antiques Show at the Convention Center and the 23rd Armory Antiques Show at the West Philadelphia Armory.
The 23rd Street Armory Antiques Show is held at 22 South 23rd Street, and has been at this location for 17 years.
“Every booth is set up as a room setting. They have display cases, there’s lighting, there’s rugs on the floor, so it gives the customers coming into the show an idea of how they can decorate and display in their homes, these objects,” says promoter Frank Gaglio.
He says there’s something for all antique lovers.
“Our show offers everything from an assortment of Americana, art, furniture, silver, folk art, brass, pewter, ceramics, porcelain — quite a variety of material.”
He says early arrivals will be treated to mimosas and fine chocolate. The 23rd Street show will also offer shuttle buses back and forth from its location to the Convention Center. Gaglio says exhibitors come from 16 states.
