Working Professionals Share Memories Of Bring Your Child To Work Day

By Hadas Kuznits

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Today is Bring Your Child To Work Day.

This woman has memories of being put to work when she came to visit her mom on Bring Your Child To Work Day.

"I did mail, I did copies, I did typing on the typewriter back in the day when there was very little computer use."

Some folks say the day isn't just a treat for the kids -- it's a nice way to see a different side to the people with whom you work.

"Especially when you see the hard-nosed boss and then you see him bring his daughter in and he's like, 'oh come on honey let's go to lunch now or let me let you meet my friends here' and everybody looks at each other in a different light."

"I've witnessed sometimes that the parents seem to be having more fun when their kids are there."

"I actually went to work with my aunt who worked where I actually work right now so they all remember that where I work because there's still people there from that time."
