Making Weekend Plans
I like to pass along some tee time deals each Thursday as we make plans for the weekend.
But I can't overlook the fact that for many of us, our weekend golf plans include adjusting our schedules to make sure we can catch a little of the golf on TV, whether it is a tour event or one of the local shows.
So in addition to those golf deals, we'll also use Thursdays to scope out the weekend TV golf schedule. And from time to time, I'll be checking in with my KYW Newsradio co-anchor Harry Donahue for some behind-the-scenes stuff on Inside Golf and his impressions of the courses they'll be visiting. This weekend, they'll be featuring Makefield Highlands. where he tells me the "country club for a day" experience is alive and well.

Demo Days
It will be demo weekend at Honeybrook Golf Club: tomorrow, Cleveland and Ping reps will be there with all the new stuff between 3pm and 7pm. Saturday, it'll be Adams, Cobra, Tour Edge and US Kids. It'll be a festive atmosphere with beer samplings, mini-massages, appetizers and more.
Open House
Radley Run, a private club in West Chester, is holding an open house on Sunday and has a new two-month trial membership offer. That info is here...
Equipment Deal du Jour
Here's my favorite from the current crop: Rock Bottom Golf has quite a few drivers on sale at $119. These are good sticks, just a generation or two removed from the latest-and-greatest releases. If you're in the camp that says short product cycles are more about marketing than real technological advances, this is the type of sale where you get your best bang for the buck.
