CHICAGO (CBS) — The Bulls have won home court advantage for the first round in the Eastern Conference playoffs, with the Miami Heat having lost Tuesday night.
The Heat lost 78-66 to the Boston Celtics Tuesday night, as both teams rested their top players.
LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were out for the Heat. Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo didn’t play for the Celtics.
The loss by Miami sets the Bulls as the number one seed in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 48-16. Miami’s record is now 46-19.
League-wide, the Bulls are tied for the best record with the San Antonio Spurs, who are on an eight-game win streak and also have a 48-16 record.
