Burglar Targets Center City Jewelry Store

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating the robbery of a jewelry store in Center City late Sunday night.
The robbery happened at about 10:15 p.m. at George's Golden Scale store on S. 8th Street in the Jewelers' Row area.
When police arrived at the store, they found a security gate that had been pushed up and window that was smashed.
According to investigators, the thief or thieves took several watches and rings. It was not immediately known how much in valuables was stolen.
The suspect(s) ran out of the store and remain at large. Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance cameras in the area to aid in their investigation.
