NEWTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – A Newtown, Bucks County hair salon celebrated its grand opening over the Earth Day weekend. And the timing couldn’t have been better. The salon is totally organic.
Candis Krzaczyk opened the Sycamore Salon last November, but waited until this past weekend to hold its grand opening. It’s already developed quite a loyal clientele.
“We are very particular about what we put on our hair and on our skin. We like to avoid as many harmful chemicals as possible, so everything in the salon is organic, vegan and PETA approved.”
Listen to Kim Glovas’ interview with Candis Krzaczyk in this CBS Philly podcast:
Krzaczyk says you don’t need chemicals to color hair. She’s using products from a company that is serious about new organic ways to color hair.
“They replaced the chemicals with the heat with a little bit of peroxide that mixed with the organic color and it’s the same equivalent peroxide that is to the pharmaceutical grade in eye drops so it’s very, very minimal.”
She says the staff is onboard and works to live a healthy, organic lifestyle.
