PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A man is dead after a car accident in West Philadelphia.

Around 6:41 a.m. on Saturday morning, a 30-year-old driving a Ford lost control and struck a pole at 63rd Street and Woodbine Avenue in Overbrook.

The victim was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead at 7:27 a.m.
