REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (CBS) – Police are investigating an early morning robbery in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

Around 4:15 a.m., officers say that a male suspect entered the Rehoboth Econolodge at 19540 Coastal Highway and confronted the 60-year-old female clerk at the counter. The suspect managed to force his way behind the counter by implying that he had a weapon, and he stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register before fleeing.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 20-30 years old and 5’7”-5’10” and 170-200 lbs, of average build. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt.

The clerk was not injured during the incident.
