Man Killed In Freak Accident Involving SEPTA Bus

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A man died after a freak accident involving a SEPTA bus Friday morning.

The deadly incident happened at about 9:30 a.m. at 8th Street and Girard Avenue in North Philadelphia.

According to investigators, a 61-year-old man was trying to get on the back of the Route 15 shuttle bus when his arm got stuck in the door.

The unidentified male was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The freak accident remains under investigation.
