MIDDLE Twp., N.J. (CBS) – Police in Cape May County have arrested and charged a man with sexual assault and human trafficking.

On April 18, 2012, Brian Nixon, of Pleasantville, N.J., was taken into police custody after an investigation revealed that he befriended a female teenager, sexually assaulted her and recruited her into becoming a prostitute in Atlantic County.

According to police, Nixon would occasionally transport the young girl from Middle Township to Atlantic County while he oversaw activities related to prostitution.

Nixon is currently being held on $100,000 bail in Cape May County.

The investigation is ongoing.
